The shocks on X-Class 52V are too stiff

The 2022 model of X-Class 52V in both frame versions has two adjustments. 

You can add air to the shock, or increase the preload of the coil spring. 

Adding air lets you fine-tune the spring rate to the payload of the bike, and adds progressivity to the shock.

Increasing the preload increases the shock's resistance to initial movement. 

To adjust the air pressure, you'll need a purpose-built shock pump, as pumps intended for tires do not provide the accuracy or precision required when filling the air chamber. 
It's recommended to use your weight as a PSI number, so if you're 170 lb, 170 psi is the optimal pressure.

And to increase the preload, you'll need a preload collar wrench.
