Please note that when you change the speed limiter, your ebike is no longer a class 2 ebike.
Changing the speed limiter is at the rider's own risk. Please check your local ebike laws to make sure you’re not breaking any laws. Ariel Rider/Arba International LLC is designing their ebikes to go at an optimal 20mph and is not liable for any damage that might occur due to high speeds. Components of the Grizzly are subject to higher wear when compared to bikes without power assistance. This is because Grizzly can travel at higher average speeds than regular cycles and has a greater weight. Higher wear is not a defect in the product and is not subject to warranty. Typical components affected are the tires, brake pads and rotors, suspension forks, spokes, wheels, and the battery pack.
The bikes are shipped with a 20 mph speed limiter which also limits the wattage of your motors to 500W each.
Under the United States' Federal Electric Bike Regulations, e-bikes are considered street legal, and because of this are viewed as bicycles, not motorized vehicles. PLEASE NOTE, it is important for you to check your state, county, and local laws to ensure that you are riding legally and safely.
